IACPP Certified Pickleball Professional Coach Level 1

Course Overview

This 2-day entry-level certification prepares instructors to deliver safe, structured, and engaging pickleball sessions to beginner players in school, club, and grassroots environments. The course integrates coaching philosophy, coaching competency, motor behaviour principles, and the practical teaching of fundamental pickleball skills.

Module 1 – Coaching Philosophy Fundamentals

Concept of Sport, What is Coaching, Coaching Styles, Coaching Process, Coaching Philosophy

Module 2 – Coaching Competency Fundamentals

Roles Of A Coach, Coaching Skills, Teaching Sports Skills

Module 3 – Coaching Pickleball Through Motor Behaviour Fundamentals

Foundations of Motor Behaviour, Classifying & Practising Skills,

Module 4 – Pickleball Skills Level 1 Teaching

Pre Session Preparation and Participant Protocol, Core Technical Foundation, Core Motor Skills & Paddle Control, Fundamental Stroke Techniques, Game Fundamentals and Court Awareness, Cooling Down

Primary Audience

  • Aspiring and new pickleball instructors with little or no formal coaching background who want a internationally recognised entry-level certification.
  • School coaches and PE teachers introducing pickleball to students.
  • Club and community coaches running grassroots, recreational, or social sessions.
  • Volunteers and parents helping at community or club programmes.

Requirement

  • Must be 18 years old and above
  • Have been playing pickleball for at least 6 -12 months or Skill Rating of 3.0 and above (DUPR of 3.0 with at least 80% reliability)
  • Some qualifications will be evaluated individually, on a case-by-case basis

Award

Participant must have 100% in attendance and passed the assessment (80% and above) in order to be awarded with the IACPP Certified Pickleball Professional Coach Level 1

31st October to 1st November 2026 (Pickle One, Seremban 2, Negeri Sembilan) – West Malaysia Intake (Batch 5) – Open for Registration (Closing Date; 28th September 2026)
